Design engineer.
Twenty years
designing
products,
and I build
them myself.
Research, interaction, UI, and then I build it. Usually two weeks to a working prototype, with coding agents doing a lot of the typing. Something you can click and try to break, not a file to imagine your way through.
I've judged the w3, Communicator, Davey and Orpetron awards, and picked up a few of my own: Awwwards Honors three years running, CSS Design Awards Site of the Day.

About
Most of my work has been where a bad interface costs real money: regulated finance, AI products, B2B logistics, robotics. Right now I'm at Immigrant Invest, running a design system across five products and designing compliant onboarding for cross-border wealth clients.
I spent most of those twenty years running my own studio, a hundred-plus projects across finance, insurance, manufacturing and retail. That's where the business-first habit comes from. When it's your own studio, the design has to work, not just look right.

AI Speaking Tutor
Discovered that B2+ learners don't need lessons — they need a 5-min daily "warm-up" to unfreeze speech. Designed the recorder-first architecture around that insight.
